If you are a serving member of the US military then there is a good chance you will be
deployed overseas a several stages during your career. Overseas deployments usually
are rather long, the majority of them usually lasting over a year. When a military member is separated from his or her family and friends, it can be a difficult time.
Perhaps the best ways to demonstrate your care and also to help keep their spirits
high is to send them a personalised deployment gift.

The fundamental question you’ll most likely have is “What kind of gift should I give?”
There’s really no specified gift that will satisfy everyone. It’s up to you to consider what sort
of gift your special someone likes and also to set finances that will work for you.
There are numerous different types of gifts gifts to choose from but bear in mind
the gift will need to be small enough to go through the Army postal system to where your soldier is deployed.

Military jewelry is a very good first choice.
As is small and can be posted easlily no matter where they are stationed in the world. A custom military ring is an ideal gift because they will be able to wear it even during their daily overseas activities in the harshest of environments.. These rings are extremely hard waring and durable that will survive in environments such as Afghanistan and will last throughout their deployment and well beyond and will become a treasured memento and reminder of past achievements during their career.

These Military rings can be customised to include a lot of information relevant to the individual soldier including their personal details, such as their name/ rank and unit insignia.
Also they can combine side emblems of the current and previous tours of duty and or other overseas deployments; these are things that every soldier is proud to display.

Other Deployment gifts options
These can also include everything from hats, jackets, and t-shirts. Almost all of the major military operations, such as Desert Storm, Desert Shield, and Iraqi Freedom, have clothing specifically designed for the deployment and they will be able to wear these will off duty or away on RNR.

Also Care products are usually a welcome sight for those deployed overseas. Pack a box stuffed with their favorite delicacy, personal hygiene items, books, mags, letters, and pictures. These military deployment gifts are the ones which will often bring a tear into the recipient’s eyes since they know you add a lot of effort on it.

Conclusion, military deployment gifts can certainly help make the separation a bit easier on both you and your loved one. Simply knowing that someone cares and can ensure the time time away separated is more bearable.

On 7 October 2001, early combat operations in Afghanistan signaled the start of Operation Enduring Freedom

The Origins of the Campaign
The operation was originally called “Operation Infinite Justice” (often misquoted as “Operation Ultimate Justice”),but as similar phrases have been used by adherents of several religions as an exclusive description of God, it is believed to have been changed to avoid offense to Muslims, who are the majority religion in Afghanistan.

U.S. President George W. Bush’s remark that “this crusade, this war on terrorism, is going to take a while”, which prompted widespread criticism from the Islamic world, and may also have contributed to the renaming of the operation.

This campaign has continued todate and it’s estimated that over 2 million US Military service personnel
have served in Afghanistan and Iraq or both. With a contingent of approx 103700 currently serving in Afghanistan.

Deployments have always been a part of military life and many have
had a significant impact on keeping American safe and secure.

Operation Enduring Freedom Deployment Rings – designed to commemorate previous sacrifice.

One of the best ways to commemorate this time abroad is with deployment rings.
These beautifully crafted rings are a tribute to these deployments and there are a number of different options for creating the perfect ring. For example, perhaps you want to give your loved one a ring for
deploying to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

These rings can be customized to suite the individual service person
To what extent can you customize Operation Enduring Freedom Deployment Rings?
First of all, you can customize the stone. There are two options: simple cut diamond like stone, or laser vue cut stone. The laser vue option lets you engrave whatever you want inside the stone.
Popular choices include the American flag or corps insignia; there are 19 options to choose from.

You’ll also be happy to know that Operation Enduring Freedom Deployment Rings can have their sides customized. You can have the soldier’s name on one of the sides, just below the unit’s insignia, and the deployment date or TOD date on the other side.

Another much appreciated customization option is the fact that you can also write a very personal message inside of the ring – however, you need to keep it under 18 characters, spaces included.

While deployment rings are the perfect choice for someone just leaving,
they are also a great gift for someone who has just returned. Perhaps you’d like to give a deployment
ring for an anniversary, birthday, or retirement gift. However, there doesn’t have to be a special
occasion to recognize the selfless service and sacrifice of our military members.

How to order a customised Operation Enduring Freedom Deployment ring?
You can order your chosen ring here online in three easy steps ( all major credit cards accepted ),
then have it shipped direct to your soldier no matter where they are deployed around the world.
Shipping normally takes 5 weeks from date of purchase.

Order online:
You can customize and order these beautiful rings in our online shop

First, you would need to decide what type of metal you would like the
ring crafted out of, such as yellow or white gold, silver, or valadium.
While gold and silver are great choice for very formal, elegant deployment rings,
many people prefer valadium because it’s more resistant to scratches.
It’s a good choice for military members who work in labor intensive fields.

There are different styles of deployment rings available. Some resemble a class or school ring,
while others have an engraved or etched top instead of a stone.
The style of ring and the material will have the most impact on the ring’s pricing.

Deployment rings may or may not have a stone on the top of the ring.
Some will have a logo inside the stone, such as the branch emblem.
You’ll also have a chance to choose emblems on the sides of the stone and the ring.
There are hundreds of emblems to choose from, such as symbols for loyalty, duty, honor, and courage.
Perhaps you would like to place the member’s name on the side or a specific insignia for
a specialized unit, like the Navy Seals or Army Special Forces.

These emblems are what truly make these deployment rings unique and personalized for the recipient.
You can also have a special message, date, or name inscribed on the inside of the ring.
It might be the dates of the deployment, service dates, or location. Whatever you decide,
deployment rings are sure to become a treasure heirloom that will be passed on to future generations.

Ordering is very simple, even with extensive personalization. These rings will arrive in a beautiful gift box,
suitable for any occasion. While deployment rings are the perfect choice for someone just leaving,
they are also a great gift for someone who has just returned. Perhaps you’d like to give a deployment

In closing, deployment rings and other military jewelry are a piece of military
heraldry that will be treasured for years to come.
Each time the service man or woman looks at such a ring, they will know
that your love and gratitude will follow them anywhere.

Each time the service man or woman looks at such a ring, they will know that your love and gratitude will follow them anywhere.

With the United States military deploying to locations around the world, it’s more important than ever to show your support for your friends and family members who serve this country. Their sacrifice and commitment to this country help keep it safe and free. One of the best ways to acknowledge that service is by giving them the gift of a deployment ring. Below, you’ll find some tips to help you create the perfect gift, as well as some of the options available for deployment rings.

Consider What the Service Member Does

If the service member is deployed in support of a specific military campaign, such as Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom, you can have a ring created that symbolizes their service. Perhaps they provide support services, fly a fighter jet, or patrol the front lines. Each unit, division, or squadron will have a specific role in the campaign when they are deployed. You can highlight this type of service with deployment rings that have the campaign’s emblem engraved on the top of the ring. You may want to choose an insignia for the branch of the military, a type of weapon system, or a specialized unit. There are hundreds of emblems, symbols, and insignias that you may choose from to create a personalized memento of the service member’s time abroad.

Metal Choices and Design Considerations

Some military members will only wear their deployment rings to special occasions, such as those that require their dress uniforms. Others will wear the ring proudly everyday. Gold and silver are both fantastic choices; however, validium is stronger and will resist scratches easier should the ring be worn daily. Consider the colors in the dress uniform, too. For example, the Marine dress uniform will look best with a gold ring, while the Air Force dress uniform will look best with a silver ring. Validium resembles silver, but is a little darker in color. All three precious metals will provide a beautiful reminder of the service man or woman’s service. Deployment rings can also be personalized on the inside with initials, dates of service, or even a special word or two from you.

Ordering Deployment Rings

No matter where your friend or family member is stationed, you can have the ring shipped directly to them. In some remote locations, mail may be delivered rather infrequently. You may want to hold onto the ring until you can give it to the military member in person. Each ring comes in a stylish gift box and you can imagine the look of surprise when it is opened! There is no better way to recognize a soldier, airman, or sailor than with deployment rings that are personalized just for them.

In Closing

Deployment rings will often become a treasured reminder of one’s military service. Often passed onto to future generations, these rings are a beautiful testament to one’s service, dedication, and sacrifice. As a unique gift, it is certain to be well-received and you’ll feel good knowing that your friend or family member understands your pride in what they do.

Thank you for taking the time out to read this posting. As you are reading this right now, you can rest assured that there are many soldiers around the world that fall in to the category of liberators and patriots.

Liberators of Iraq

The most recent liberation that we can all identify with is the liberation of Iraq, and as a result of modern communications and technology we could see the actual battle taking place and the defiance of the Hussein regime in stating that they were in full control, as we in the rest of the world saw US Military Tanks roll into the heart of Baghdad. Whether this was the right decision or not, is not for the layman to say, but certainly, because we live in a democratic society we are allowed to question these decisions, because in questioning can we fully understand the reason we invaded. Anyway, what was the alternative ! I would welcome your answers and observations.

Who Were The Liberators?

In my humble opinion, the liberators were the men and women of the allied armed services led by the United States were the true liberators, not the policy makers or those in high office who have never set foot on a battlefield. The young men and women of the Marine Corps, the Infantry, the Cavalry and the countless other units and brigades that make up the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard.

We need to congratulate all members of our United States Military and the Allied Forces that were also in support of this noble cause. When they return to our shores they should be treated with the utmost respect, and lets not have a repeat of what happened to some when the returned from earlier conflicts like Vietnam.

For those who will not return or who have been fatally injured, bow your head in prayer once in a while and remember them and their families. They paid the ultimate price for our freedom……ask yourself, what have I done today?

Gone but not forgotten…should be a little more than just words.

Honor the Liberators of Iraq

One of the most unique ways to honor these fine people is to purchase for the a piece of jewelry like the military rings, which can be customized with all the deatils of their military career.

We are quite used to hearing about deployment from the United States to places like Iraq and Kuwait especially over the last decade or so. What I want to relate to you in this article is the importance of understanding redeployment and the enormous amount of planning and work that goes into it.

Camp Victory -2004

Back in 2004 this small little Camp about 70km north of the city of Kuwait which would take you about 45 minutes to drive, and incidentally you would be taking your life in your hands to drive the highway to get there. I will now go on record to say the the Kuwaiti drivers at that time were the worst in the world that I came across. It was a normal sighting when heading out to any of the camps I worked in to arrive upon an accident. When we refer to an accident in the US or Europe we think of a fender bender, no not in Kuwait this was usually fatal for someone. I now believe its much better as the authorities have introduced a speed limit and hopefully have saved many lives.

The Camp itself had a constantly changing population ranging from at least 600 to 15,000 troops along with equipment and vehicles. This one square mile of camp set in the desert North of Kuwait and about one hour South of the Iraqi border became a hive of activity and of joy. This camp was where the troops arrived in from Iraq along with their equipment and they now knew they were on their way home and away from the perils of war. Here they would purchase their military rings, have them designed with their deployment details from Operation Iraqi Freedom dated like this example OIF 2004-2006.

Camp Victory – Military Rings

It’s not the most picturesque place in Kuwait but for many soldiers on the return journey back to the United States and their families it probably seemed like heaven, here they would receive a well earned rest in a safe environment after having served in one of the most hostile regions of the Middle East namely Iraq. The responsibilities of the camp was to provide security, billeting, food services and various other logistical services that you would expect.

Camp Victory – Redeployment.

The redeployment of a unit or brigade does not happen overnight, in actual fact it can take anywhere from 15 – 25 days to go through the process. Equipment has to go through a cleaning and sterilizing process before it can be loaded on the ships for the long journey home. You will see soldiers who haven’t had a moment to realize what they have been through until now, some have lost their comrades and you or I can’t even begin to imagine what these fine young men and women have gone through but you can see it in their eyes.

Tonight think of them and say a prayer and thank them for our gift of freedom. Remember someone died for it!

So here is a link that you should look at to give you some idea of what our brave soldiers go through on practically a daily basis;

Fallujah the Video

I have spent time in Iraq and Kuwait and have witnessed first hand the terror of hearing those words ( incoming – incoming) that was the signal everyone hear on the base when we were under fire. On hearing these few words echoed around the base we had to run for shelter to the concrete bunkers that were strategically located throughout the base and wait there until we heard the words (all clear) echoed throughout the base.

History of Fallujah

In 2003 the US led the coalition forces in Iraq and just after that time Fallujahbecame one of the areas that became not so dangerous. It was home to a resort called Dreamland which was used by the Ba’athist congregation of the area. The area was plagued by looters after the defeat of Saddam Hussein, they went after and targeted government buildings and anything else that represented the former establishment.

Fallujah Abu Ghraib Prison.

Fallujah will always be remembered for the notorious Abu Ghraib prison that was used to intern members of society the were against or spoke out about the dictator Saddam.

Fallujah the Curfew

A curfew imposed by the US in April 2003 was defied by a select group of the local population when they grouped outside a local school. The American 82nd Airborne was guarding the building, when the curfew was defied, the troops in an act of defense opened fire and killed seventeen civilians and wounded another seventy approximately.

Four contractors were dragged from their vehicle in 2004 beaten to death and then were set alight. They were Scott Helvenston, Jerry Zovko, Wesley Batalona and Michael Teague. This dreadful act was photographed and shown by news broadcasters around the world causing untold pain to the families of these men. Remember them in your prayers today.

Now there are various methods by which we can celebrate like taking the family out to for a nice evening or indeed heading off on a vacation if it’s within the budget. As I have spent many years around the world promoting products the help commemorate special military occasions I feel adequately informed to make a few suggestions.

Gold Uses in the Military

Gold Military Rings

Although not the cheapest metal at the present moment but with the present uncertain economic climate it may actually increase in value but on the otherhand it could decline. It is always considered a pretty safe haven when times are uncertain and its one of the precious metals that will hold its value when other assets like property and shares are so volatile. As I write this article Gold as actually gone through the $1000.00 mark and this is a major psychological threshold at the same time that the dollars is weakening. I’m not a financial guru, but to a layman it certainly doesn’t look to bright. So I would suggest to you that the time to buy the “Gold Military Ring” is now.

Gold Military Rings for the Army.

It’s quite usual for service members from the Department of the Army to engage a company to custom design a “Gold Army Ring” with the various designs that’s appropriate to the individual fro their graduation, retirement or indeed to commemorate a special occasin or deployment. Gold Military Rings are one of the best ways to mark any occasion and a unique way to display that military pride and will also help to create a great family heirloom.

Gold Military Rings and Gold History.

Back in the year of 1971 it was President Nixon who allowed the price of Gold to float. It was President Roosevelt that set the price of Gold at a standard $35 an ounce and it remained at the same price from 1934 to 1971. And with a large amount of people looking to invest their money in something tat would give them security other than property and shares they invested in Gold which drove the price up to $850 an ounce. Gold has a great appeal to people from all over the world and this can be seen by the amount of the precious metal that’s used in the manufacture of jewelry especially Gold Military Rings.

Testimonial about Military Rings.
Janet Green, from Bolingbrook, Illinois. Ordered a US Army Ring for her sons graduation.
Ring was delivered yesterday! Opened up package when I got home.
It is totally AWESOME!
Very heavy weight, worth every penny. Engraving, panels are detailed to perfection!
The stone is a beautiful blue (his favorite color AND birthstone) and lays perfectly in the ring.
Very masculine ring … A terrific job! I can’t wait to give it to my son!
I know he will wear it proudly!

Kindest regards …
Janet

On the East Coast of the United States the beautiful state of North Carolina is situated with miles and miles of welcoming beaches and inviting tourist areas. There are a number of military installations scattered throughout the state but the one that comes to mind immediately is Fort Bragg and it is also one of the most historic ones especially over the last century. It is home to the very effective 82nd Airborne, US Army Special Operations Command, Field Artillery Brigade, Corps Support Command, XVIII Airborne Corps and the Joint Special Operations Command.

82 Airborne Ring

This is a special ring that can be customized to carry those much recognizable AA on the sides with possible your name over it and on the other side, details of a special deployment or mission can be engraved. The 82 Airborne plays a vital role in the defence and support of national interest, it is one of the airborne divisions that can deploy within twenty four hours notice and perform parachute entry assault initially for the operations that will follow later. In earlier years when they were first formed their key missions were to take control of strategic locations like ports and military airfields and this hasn’t changed much over the years. The division is on such a state of alert and readiness that up to one third is ready to await the call of duty within a very short period, another third is in constant training and the remaining population of the division is a state of combat readiness. It is referred to as “Americas Guard of Honor” and rightly so as it has been involved in every conflict that I can recall and have read about from the Second World War to the most recent conflicts and campaigns in the Middle EastAfghanistan

101st Airborne Ring

Travel over the Smokey Mountains and up through Tennessee and through some of the most breath taking scenery in the United States you will eventually arrive in another welcoming state we call good old Kentucky where blue grass music fills the air. Right over the border with Tennessee you will arrive at the gate of Fort Campbell and of course if you don’t have the proper pass you will not be allowed on to this secure installation. This is home to the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault, 101st Corps Support Group Regiment, 160th Special Operation Aviation Reg. 5th Special Forces Group and of course the Air Assault School where all this training starts.

Airborne in Europe

After the Second World War when the Germans were defeated by the United States ant its Allies the US retained a presence in Europe and of course the Airborne was one of those divisions. If you go to Italy to this day you will see that the 173rd Airborne division is stationed there and in Germany in the Northern Baviria such as Bamberg a quaint and beautiful University City you will have pockets where the other Airborne units and divisions are influential.

And yes, we would only move out of there sometimes because of a question from one of our parents enquiring as to whether we were away with the fairies or not.

As we progressed and moved on to school we only felt comfortable in that environment when we became friends with some others in the class and moved on to have friends with the opposite sex. Those were the days not a care in the world and sometimes life long friendships was developed.

I remember one of the most heart touching displays of friendships was when I was working in Iraq, I was promoting military rings there for the troops, well actually the deployment ring which was quite new at the time. I was at our display when to young soldiers stopped by enquiring as to what was going on; we shall refer to them as Jason and Damien. I gave them a presentation on the rings and how they could purchase one. Both of the soldiers decide that they would like to purchase a ring but one of them, Damien was getting married and could not fit it into his budget. His friend was writing up the paperwork for his order when Damien said he would he would wait for him in the Post Exchange. Before Damien strolled away, Jason enquired as to what size his wedding ring was going to be, he said it was size eleven and his girlfriend had already had it back home.

We continued on doing the paper work for Jason and when he had finished I gave him his receipt and thanked him for his order. I was getting ready to say goodbye, when he stopped me and said, I’m not finished, I now want you to get an order form and I want to make another order for this special deployment military ring, for Damien. I’m doing this because he has been my best friend since high school and right through the military. We have fought side by side in Iraq and he saved my life, so this little ring is going to be my surprise wedding gift to him and I’m sure that when we both go our separate ways that this little military ring will make us both realize that we are truly a little band of brothers and friends.

Military Rings used as Wedding Rings

For members of the armed forces it’s not always so easy to go shopping for the big day especially if you are away on deployment or seperated by states or countries from your loved one. It’s not surprising then the amount of people that are turning their attention to military rings for the engagement rings and wedding bands. You can have both family names on both rings and the wedding date plus many other details engraved. The amount of options over and above conventional rings are many and the cost is very much less, so let your wedding gift to each other be, a custom military ring with a complimentary pendant also.

This is a prayer I read in the Ft Hood Herald

I Pray

Almighty God, with an upright heart I have left my dear one at home, to defend my country against its enemies.

My thoughts constantly go back to them.

They are thoughts of love and anxiety.

I ask you loving God to keep a watchful eye over each and every one of them.

Soothe their hearts and help them to bear my abscence patiently.

Protect them from the dreadful dangers of war.

O my Lord, I ask not much for myself just only the courage to perform my duties well.

I offer You this day and every day my thoughts, words and actions as prayers of faith in You, of hope in Your provident care, of love of You and Your justice.

May my prayers parallel all my service and sacrifices for my fellow comrades, my family and my country, proctect them all and bless them now and forever.

For all those who have died welcome them into your loving embrace. Gracious Lord, lend and ear of compassion to the supplication of a soldier – your child – serving my country to the best of my ability out of love for You. Amen.

Keep me and my brave colleagues safe as we enter a world of human beings that do not know us, but rather than get acquainted would like nothing better than to kill us.

Make this world a safe place for me and my brave colleagues.

Watch over my family back home and keep them safe until I return to them.

Every time I look at my military ring let me think of nothing else only the pride I have in the military of our country.

In May of 2004, I got the call to report for duty, my first assignment in the Middle East.

Like all others who had gone before me I was apprehensive and anxious.

The mind is a strange thing, and the thoughts passing through it as the departure day approached, were to say the least somewhat mixed.

But there was this calm, because I had made a decision at least that was one thing less I had to worry about.

The Military Family

My family were foremost on my mind, what if something happened to me when I was away, who would care for them, would they feel unloved because of my decision to go away or did the think it selfish of me.

I landed in Kuwait on the 16th of May 2004, it was early in the morning around 06.30 in the morning and the first thing I can still remember was the ferocious heat that blasted into my face as the automatic doors of Kuwait International Airport separated to allow me into this country, where I would spend a lot of the next four years.

For anyone not familiar with Kuwait, the first thing that will test your resolve to be patient is getting through immigration, be prepared to wait at least an hour and sometimes longer for officials to return your passport with your visa that will allow you into the country for ninety days.

If you want to stay longer and work this requires you to obtain a visa 18, a much more complicated and lengthy process, and my advice to you is to book the services of a good agent.

Military Rings and Kuwait

During my time in Kuwait, I was on Camp Victory, Camp Virginia, Camp Arifjan, Camp Buehring, LSA and Camp Doha.

My assignments in Iraq were in Balad, Camp Annaconda.

This was my first experience of what war was all about, the roar of the jets taking off on their missions at night, the rattle of machine gunfire around the perimeter of the camp.

Going to sleep and then to be woken up during the night to run to the bomb shelters for safety, this could happen a few times during the night, and I must say the nicest memory of the place was waiting at the PAX terminal to get to hell out of the there.

My thoughts are always with the ones who would not be comming home and of course to their loved ones.

Military Rings and Home-Sickness

I remember on the 3rd of May spending my birthday sitting on top of a container, which was my bunker, my home and which now held my few possessions and at night my dreams.

Those were dreams of beautiful other half Eleanor, my two daughters and three fine sons who supported me at all times, and my Mum and Dad and other siblings.

I spoke to soldiers, who were right on the front line, who were injured, some whose buddies had been killed, but I was always impressed by the sheer determination of these fine young men to get the job done and make this world a better place.

Its these fine young men that we shall always owe a debt of gratitude to, for our freedom.

In years to come, lets remember these men as brave warriors, and look after them as they go into the autumn of their lives.

Lets no let history repeat itself.

Whatever administration we elect to manage our affairs and run our country, demand of them, the acknowledgement of these fine young men the make up all the Dept’s of our Military, and who fought for our freedom.

Are we ever really free? —————-

Now the Soldier’s Creed might make Sense to all who read it.

The Soldier’s Creed

I am an American Soldier.
I am a member and a warrior of a team.
I serve the the people of the United States and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat. I will never quit.

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and
Proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I will always maintain my arms my equipment and myself.

I am an expert and a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the
United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.

I am an American Soldier.

Guide and protect me and my fellow soldiers and deliver us safely home to our loving fanilies.

I ask that I do what I have to do with compassion and fairness.
