There is no doubt that the United States Marine Corps is made up of some of the most dedicated individuals. These are proud men and women who understand the meaning of honor and sacrifice. Marines are a special breed and they know it. One of the best ways to recognize a Marine’s service is with one of the many styles of Marine Corps rings. This symbol of their service will no doubt be treasured for generations as family members remember their loved one’s service.

Since the inception of the Marines, there are few conflicts that the Marines haven’t played an active role in. The United States Marines were often responsible for the overall success of past military campaigns. As you probably already know, one of the slogans so familiar with this branch of the Armed Forces is “once a Marine, always a Marine,” and that clearly is the case. Many members of this elite military branch invest in Marine Corps rings as symbol of their commitment to their country and to other Marines.

If you’re considering buying a Marine Corp ring for yourself or for a loved one, there are a few things to consider. Many of the rings available today are crafted from beautiful precious metals. Gold and silver are very popular, but so are other metals, such as validium. The latter is a somewhat stronger, silver-toned metal that is a great choice for Marines that will wear their rings on a daily basis. It’s more resistant to scratches than the softer gold and silver metals are.

There are several styles of Marine Corps rings available, as well. The most popular is the classic signet ring. The Marine Corp seal is on the top and may be engraved or raised. The sides may also be engraved with various emblems and insignias, but many Marines prefer the clean, elegant look of a ring with nothing on the sides. There are also marine Corp rings available that have a semi-precious stone set in the top. These rings look a traditional class ring and there are dozens of emblems and insignia that can be placed under the stone or down the sides.

It’s easier than ever to order Marine Corps rings today. You can do all the research right online and then place your order. Most of the custom made rings take between two and four weeks to be shipped, so it’s important to remember that if the ring will be a gift to a friend or loved one. You will also need to know what size of ring your loved one wears. Most rings can be resized, but who really wants to go through the trouble?

In closing, if you would like to recognize someone’s service in the Marines, then a beautiful Marine ring is the perfect gift. You can even have the inside of the band engraved with a short message or the recipient’s initials. Marine Corps rings are a fantastic way to show someone how much you appreciate their service and sacrifice that makes a Marine, a Marine.

In nearly every military and humanitarian crisis that the United States has been involved in since World War II, projection forces have been deployed. These are the first units that are able to move into position with sufficient means to sustain prolonged military operations. The Fleet Marine Forces are these specialized units. A combination of air, ground, and support assets, the Marine Air Ground Task Forces maximize the combat power of each of these fighting elements.

The marine Expeditionary Unit or MEU is the smallest unit of the Marine Air Ground Task Forces. In collaboration with the Navy, these MEUs are the nation’s quick response team and are deployed in numerous locations around the world on very short notice. The MEU is led by a Marine Colonel. Approximately 2,200 Sailors and Marines will board three to four amphibious ships. These ships are designated as an Amphibious Squadron and have another 2,100 to 2,300 Sailors and Marines. The ships and men are known as an Amphibious Squadron led by a senior Navy Captain called Commodore. When joined together, the MEU and the Amphibious Squadron are known as an Amphibious Ready Group.

The 31st MEU is the only Forward Deployed Naval Force located in the Pacific-Asia region. There are four major elements to the MEU. The first is known as the CE or Command Element. This is the commanding officers and support staff. The main mission of the CE is to provide the command and coordination necessary for effective planning of operations. Reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and intelligence are also in the CE. All assets relating to reconnaissance, surveillance, and electronic countermeasure teams are also part of the CE.

The GCE or Ground Combat Element for the MEU is the BLT. This is a type of infantry battalion, but it’s also includes combat engineers, assault amphibian vehicles, artillery, and light armored vehicles. Each mission will require the tailoring of these pieces to meet expected needs.

The ACE or Aviation Combat Element provides both fixed wing and rotary air support. Depending upon the different missions and the space limitations, there may be only one squadron or a full Marine Aircraft wing. For the 31st MEU, it remains a reinforced squadron. Helicopters such as the CH-46, the CH-53E, and the UH-1N (known as the Huey) , as well as the AV08B Harrier and two C-130s remain on standby in Okinawa, Japan to be utilized as needed. Air traffic control and aircraft maintenance are also included with the ACE.

The last element is the LCE or the Logistics Combat Element. The Combat Logistics Battalion is the LCE that is partof the MEU. It provides combat support, supply, EOD, military police, pay serves, medical and dental services, and pay services. Fairly small in numbers, these 300 Marines and Sailors are responsible for wide range of capabilities and services.

The MEU is well suited for security operations, amphibious operations, and is an expeditionary force. It can operate in foreign lands without a base or facilities. Thoroughly trained in what is commonly called “METS,” the MEU can provide amphibious raids to humanitarian assistance.

If you or a loved one served in the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, then you should show your pride with one of the many styles of Marine rings. Beautifully designed, you can order these Marine rings with the 31st MEU emblem on the side or under the semi-precious stone on top. For those that want to show off their pride in the 31st MEU, these Marine rings are a great choice.

For over 200 years, the United States Marine Band has been part of the happenings that have shaped the country. In 1798, Congress established the Marine Band and it’s the oldest continuously active musical organization in the country. Their mission is very unique – to provide music for the President of the United States. As the Marine Band moves into its third century, the tradition of excellence continues. Earning the title of “The President’s Own” from Thomas Jefferson, it’s the only musical organization that is charged with performing for the President. This is the music of America and this band performs in the White House, for the public, and on national tours.

The original Marine Band had 32 drummers and fifers. These men were deployed on ships or sent to Marine posts, but some were to remain in Philadelphia to provide music for government leaders. The first concert occurred in 1800 in Washington DC, near the spot where the Lincoln Memorial would eventually stand. In 1801, the Band performed at the White House for President John Adams on New Year’s Day. A few months later, the Marine Band performed for President Jefferson’s inauguration and for every subsequent inauguration afterwards.

The first time the Marine Band played “Hail to the Chief” was in 1829 to honor President Andrew Jackson. These musicians performed when the first cornerstone was laid for the Washington Monument in 1848. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln gave his now famous Gettysburg Address, followed by a performance by the Band.

In 1880, John Philip Sousa would become the 17th Leader of the Marine Band at the age of 25. For the next 12 years, the Marine Band would premier many of this composer’s most famous marches, as well as the first phonograph recordings. In 1886, the Marine Band led President Cleveland to New York Harbor for the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty.

In 1922, the Marine Band would be heard for the first time on radio and it would continue to be highlighted on a weekly program for the next 24 years. In 1943, Winston Churchill and President Franklin Roosevelt would enjoy a special wartime concert at the White House. The two leaders sang the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” the Band played at the conclusion of the concert, even though it was pouring down rain.In 1963, the Marine Band led the funeral procession of President Kennedy, at the request of his wife.

In 1973, the first female member of the Marine Band was enlisted. The first overseas concert was done in the Netherlands in 1985. Just a couple of years later, the band would perform in five different cities in the former Soviet Union. This is the only military band to tour in the USSR before it was transformed into independent states.

Members of the Marine Band must audition. The selection process, as well as the audition, is exceptionally difficult and only the best of the best will be offered a spot with this prestigious organization. One of the best ways to recognize this honor is with one of the many styles of Marine Corps Band rings. Elegantly designed and very personalized, Marine Band rings are sure to be an item of pride to the Band members. You can easily order these United States Marine Band rings online and present it to your friend or loved one who will where it with honor and pride.

The Marine Scout Sniper is not a primary MOS. It signifies that one has successfully completed the Scout Sniper School. In most cases, the main MOS is in reconnaissance or infantry. The main goal is to keep the enemy from freely moving from place to place. They are tasked with killing key personnel in the enemy’s forces. However, that is not all that these Marines do.

Scout Snipers are also tasked with providing surveillance and reconnaissance. This unit is considered to be the most elite forces in the United States military. They complete their training at Scout Sniper training centers. These schools teach the graduates marksmanship skills for long range fire from hidden positions to support various combat missions. The motto for this unit is “One shot, one kill.”

Most of the other military branches separate those who specialize in reconnaissance operations from those who are trained as snipers. In the Army, an “Infantry Scout” performs surveillance and reconnaissance operations. However, the Marines are the only branch to combine both sniper and scout training into one MOS.

The Scout Sniper Basic Course is certainly most difficult training in the Marine Corps. Most classes lose about 60% of the students, although it can go much higher. The schools are located a Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune, Quantico, and Hawaii. There are many basic requirements in place that must be met, including requirements for vision, physical fitness, marksmanship, and overall mental health. The physical requirements alone are often enough to get many booted from the course.

The school includes extensive physical fitness training, marksmanship, field crafts, reconnaissance, surveillance, and other important training. Most of the Marines that are cut from the program find that it happens during the “Stalking” portion of the course. This part of the training requires hours of patience and dedication. It can take a lifetime to master. It involves moving towards an observation post without being detected.

The first Scout Sniper platoons appeared during World War II. Highly effective at reconnaissance, these units were often given support by light tanks. The first group was trained in Australia, but that training was also supplement by Great Britain, as well. Because the Sniper Scouts had such success in World War II, the Marines immediately began to develop a specialized training program of their own.

In Vietnam, Marine Sniper Scouts were vital to the success of the United States military. Besides utilizing the snipers skills, the surveillance and reconnaissance led to numerous successful artillery attacks. The Sniper Scouts were credited with capturing and eliminating many of the enemy forces that traditional military forces couldn’t get close enough to.

Those that have successfully completed the Marine Scout Sniper training are considered to be the most elite of this military branch. A great way to recognize their service and sacrifice is with a Marine Scout Sniper ring. Your loved is sure to wear a Marine Scout Sniper ring with a great deal of pride. You can order these and other military rings online.

Marine rings are a tradition in this elite branch of the Armed Forces. For many years, these rings were only seen on graduates of the United States Naval Academy, as the Marines are considered a part of the Navy. However, today men and women in the Marines now recognize their service and dedication to this great country with Marine rings. There are many different styles of these military rings. Some are very formal, while others are a great choice for daily wear.

A signet ring is a strong, simple design. The Marine crest is on the top and may be in vivid colors. The sides of the ring are usually bare, giving this ring an elegant look. Most often cast in yellow gold, this ring looks fantastic with the stylish Marine dress uniform. You will also find a style that resembles a class ring, with emblems on the side and a precious stone on the top. Some Marine rings will have the crest engraved into the stone, which is very beautiful. Another ring style combines both of the previous styles. These include using the crest on the top and emblems down the sides of the ring.

You can choose between gold, silver, and valedium. Gold is the most popular choice, as this best compliments the Marine dress uniform. However, silver and valedium are also used for Marine rings. Valedium is a good choice for rings that will be worn every day. It’s a much harder metal than either silver or gold and will stand up to the daily abuse without scratches or scrapes.

The choice of emblems on the sides may be the hardest decision you’ll have to make. There are hundreds to choose from and this is really what makes a Marine ring special. You’ll find insignias for specialized unites, such as Marine Recon, deployment emblems, and many different symbols. Choose a flag, incorporate a special date, or choose a specific aircraft, helicopter, or ship that you are assigned to.

Once you’ve made the above choices, think about the engraving you want on the inside of the ring. Perhaps you just want your initials and rank. Maybe a special date or short saying will make this ring unique. It’s a way to personalize this ring to your specifications. Once this ring is made, you’ve created a memento that can be passed onto to future generations.

The Marines is considered
one of the most elite branches of the United States military.
There are only about 180,000 active duty Marines currently,
and it’s no secret that they are some of the finest
members of the U.S. military.

Their core values are honor, courage, and commitment.
The Marine slogan of “The Few, The Proud, The Marines” truly
exemplifies what it means to
be a member of this branch of the military.

One of the best ways to recognize the service and sacrifice of Marines,
both past and present, is with one of the many styles of Marine rings.

From the formal and elegant style featured in many
class rings to the more streamlined ring with nothing on the sides,
it’s easy to find one that personified the military member.

Gold and silver are popular choices for ring metals. Gold looks fantastic with the Marine dress uniform, but silver is also a great choice. Validium is also available, which is a silver toned metal that withstands a little more abuse.
It’s resistant to scratches and wear, but still offers a beautiful color choice.

The top of the ring is what people see first and for Marine rings, there are many different choices.
For example, you may wish to choose a ring that has a semi-precious stone on the top.
You can have the Marine crest engraved into this stone, which is quite elegant.
The recipient might prefer one of the Marine rings that have only the crest engraved in the top,
without a stone. There are also rings with a raised emblem,
creating the beautiful signet ring that is so popular.

The sides of the ring may be engraved with your choice of hundreds of different emblems and symbols. For example, a specialized unit can be highlighted or a specific military campaign, such as Enduring Freedom or Vietnam. The other side might contain a date of graduation from a training school, such as Marine Recon Training. The choices are virtually endless!

Each ring is handmade and shipped in a beautiful gift box suitable for shipping. The prices are very affordable, especially when you consider the quality of the materials and the workmanship that goes into every ring. There is no doubt that the recipient will appreciate this symbol of your pride and appreciation.

There are many other pieces of military jewelry that can showcase a Marine’s military career, as well. For example, there are pendants, money clips, and personalized dog tags. These can be the perfect compliment to a military ring. It’s no wonder that these jewelry pieces become family heirlooms passed onto to future generations.

In closing, Marine rings are a fantastic way to recognize the service, dedication, and commitment required of every Marine. It’s not an easy way of life and these military members are often in danger every day. If you want to provide your Marine family member or friend with an unmatched token of your appreciation and pride, then this is one of the best ways to do it!

The Marines are surely one of the most elite
branches of the United States military.

Known for their quick action during times of conflict,
many of the military campaigns in the past may not have been a
s successful if it wasn’t for the United States Marines.
With only 203,000 active duty Marines,
the numbers alone show how elite this branch really is.

One of the most impressive ways that you can show your gratitude and support to a friend,
family member, or loved one is with the gift of a Marine ring.
You might choose one that is a general reminder to their time in the Corps or on that reflects
a specific unit within the Corps.

Other ideas include rings that highlight a specific military campaign, such as Vietnam,
World War II, or Operation Desert Store. There are also Marine rings for Prisoners of War.
Specialized rings may also be created for the recipients of a combat medal or badge.

There are really three basic types of designs.
The first closely resembles a class ring and will display a birthstone or crystal in the center.
This stone may also include an engraving of the Marine crest or other important insignia.
This design usually includes some sort of design on the sides of the ring, which might
include a specialized unit emblem, the Marine or US flag, or even a date
that is important to the military member.

The second type of design is decidedly masculine. It may feature a stone or engraved area at the top of the ring.
The sides are generally not decorated, giving this ring an elegant look, with clean lines.
It’s a beautiful ring and often worn with the impressive Marine dress uniform.

The third type of ring is called a seal or signet ring and usually has the Marine coat of arms
or other heraldry on the top. There is no center stone and it’s a perfect choice for both men and women.
No matter which design you choose, your Marine is sure to feel a great deal of pride when they see it.

All of the Marine rings can be decorated with beautiful crests, coats of arms,
or other insignia that means so much to the military member. The crest may be enameled with color,
which gives it a very striking appearance. There is really no gift that quite compares with a Marine ring.

You can also add an engraved message inside the band or the member’s initials and dates of service.
This extra personalization will show how much your care and give the Marine a
special memento of their time spent in the Corps.

In closing, with hundreds of different emblems, symbols, and insignia available,
you can create the perfect testament to your family member or loved one’s service.
The Marine ring is a visual representation of the honor, commitment, and sacrifice
that these military men and women give everyway.

If you want a gift that will show your appreciation for their service, there is none better.

The United States Marines are considered one of the elite branches of the military. This closely-knit group of men and women are considered some of the finest in the military. They exemplify the camaraderie, dedication, and honor that makes the Marines such an integral part of today’s military. One way to recognize their service and dedication is with Marine Rings.

Marine Rings Design Options

One of the most difficult choices you’ll make when ordering a military ring is determining which type of design will best suit the ring wearer. Some have a birthstone set on top, while others have the Marine insignia or other emblem. Both designs are beautiful, but the one with the semi-precious stone on top is usually considered a bit more formal. However, the Marine Corps crest is often a great choice, as it is a constant reminder of the pride and honor that comes with being a Marine.

Marine Insignias and Emblems

The sides of the Marine rings may contain insignias, emblems, or sayings specific to the Marine Corp. Units such as Recon are very elite and most Marines want to show their pride at being part of such a specialized unit. The Marine flag is also a great choice and is often paired with “Semper Fi” on the other side. An emblem or insignia can also be placed within the birthstone, which gives the ring a very impressive look.

Metals Choices and Engraving

Gold and silver give Marine rings a very formal appearance and look fantastic with the Marine dress uniform. Everyone knows that no other branch has as an impressive dress uniform as the Marines, and this ring can really be wonderful testament to the Marine’s service. For a ring that will stand up to daily wear, consider validium, as it’s stronger than silver or gold. It’s also resistant to scratches from daily wear.

Marine rings can be engraved on the inside with the recipient’s name, rank, and dates of service. This personalization helps create a unique reminder of their service. It also provides a way for the ring to be returned should it ever be lost. In addition, Marine rings are often kept as family heirlooms and passed on to future generations.

Ordering and Shipping

It’s easy to order Marine rings online. The hardest part is deciding what you want the ring to look like! There are hundreds of emblems and insignia to choose from, as well as different symbols, such as the American flag. Once you have made your decision, you can place your order, including your request for engraving on the inside of the ring.

A Few Final Thoughts

Marine rings are the prefect gift to show your appreciation and gratitude for the recipient’s service. These rings are certain to be well-received and worn with a great deal of pride. Few pieces of jewelry can say as much or mean as much to a military member. The next time you’re wondering what to give the Marine in your family, consider one of the many different styles of military rings.

The Marines are considered the United States’ most noble brotherhood. Their motto, “Simper Fidelis” means “always faithful” and for members of this elite branch of the United States Armed Forces, there is no truer statement. Marines are often the first into dangerous ground situations and are known for their unwavering bravery and honor.

The Marines number just over 200,000 active duty and 50,000 reservists. It’s the smallest of all the branches of the Armed Forces under the control of the Department of Defense. While the Coast Guard is smaller, it’s under the control of the Department of Homeland Security. The Marines are an elite organization and the saying of “once a Marine, always a Marine” is very fitting. The Marines are a division of the United States Navy, and the first two battalions of Marines were formed in 1775. The Marines have served with honor in every major conflict of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Marine rings are a unique and special way to commemorate service in this great branch of the Armed Forces. This visual symbol of their strength of character, honor, and dignity is unmatched. There are a number of ways to customize these rings for your loved one to recognize their enduring commitment to their country and fellow Marine.

Available in yellow or white gold, silver, or valadium, Marine rings may be designed several different ways. For example, you may choose a semi-precious stone or the Marine coat of arms for the top of the ring. The sides of the ring may contain emblems of a specific unit or military campaign. For example, if the Marine was part of the Iraqi War, Vietnam, or the Korean War, you might choose an emblem recognizing this specific service.

You can also add the Marine’s name, rank, and dates of service or a saying unique to the unit they were part of. Perhaps you would like to engrave the inside of the ring with their initials.

The personalization you add to the Marine rings make them truly special. It’s sure to be a piece of military jewelry that won’t be forgotten.

Marine rings arrive in a beautifully stylish gift box and ready for presentation. These rings are perfect for retirement, birthdays, anniversaries, or graduations and you’ll not find a more fitting gift for a member of this elite branch of military service.

In closing, Marine rings are a deeply symbolic testament to the service and sacrifices of those that serve each day. You’ll see your loved one wear this ring with pride, as it is a constant reminder of all the Marine holds true to their heart. The personalization of Marine rings make it the perfect choice for members present and past, and will likely become cherished family heirlooms. Let your Marine know how much you appreciate their service, dedication, and sacrifice with a beautifully designed Marine ring. There is simply no better military gift for a Marine than one to celebrate their service.

Thank you for taking the time out to read this posting. As you are reading this right now, you can rest assured that there are many soldiers around the world that fall in to the category of liberators and patriots.

Liberators of Iraq

The most recent liberation that we can all identify with is the liberation of Iraq, and as a result of modern communications and technology we could see the actual battle taking place and the defiance of the Hussein regime in stating that they were in full control, as we in the rest of the world saw US Military Tanks roll into the heart of Baghdad. Whether this was the right decision or not, is not for the layman to say, but certainly, because we live in a democratic society we are allowed to question these decisions, because in questioning can we fully understand the reason we invaded. Anyway, what was the alternative ! I would welcome your answers and observations.

Who Were The Liberators?

In my humble opinion, the liberators were the men and women of the allied armed services led by the United States were the true liberators, not the policy makers or those in high office who have never set foot on a battlefield. The young men and women of the Marine Corps, the Infantry, the Cavalry and the countless other units and brigades that make up the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard.

We need to congratulate all members of our United States Military and the Allied Forces that were also in support of this noble cause. When they return to our shores they should be treated with the utmost respect, and lets not have a repeat of what happened to some when the returned from earlier conflicts like Vietnam.

For those who will not return or who have been fatally injured, bow your head in prayer once in a while and remember them and their families. They paid the ultimate price for our freedom……ask yourself, what have I done today?

Gone but not forgotten…should be a little more than just words.

Honor the Liberators of Iraq

One of the most unique ways to honor these fine people is to purchase for the a piece of jewelry like the military rings, which can be customized with all the deatils of their military career.

So here is a link that you should look at to give you some idea of what our brave soldiers go through on practically a daily basis;

Fallujah the Video

I have spent time in Iraq and Kuwait and have witnessed first hand the terror of hearing those words ( incoming – incoming) that was the signal everyone hear on the base when we were under fire. On hearing these few words echoed around the base we had to run for shelter to the concrete bunkers that were strategically located throughout the base and wait there until we heard the words (all clear) echoed throughout the base.

History of Fallujah

In 2003 the US led the coalition forces in Iraq and just after that time Fallujahbecame one of the areas that became not so dangerous. It was home to a resort called Dreamland which was used by the Ba’athist congregation of the area. The area was plagued by looters after the defeat of Saddam Hussein, they went after and targeted government buildings and anything else that represented the former establishment.

Fallujah Abu Ghraib Prison.

Fallujah will always be remembered for the notorious Abu Ghraib prison that was used to intern members of society the were against or spoke out about the dictator Saddam.

Fallujah the Curfew

A curfew imposed by the US in April 2003 was defied by a select group of the local population when they grouped outside a local school. The American 82nd Airborne was guarding the building, when the curfew was defied, the troops in an act of defense opened fire and killed seventeen civilians and wounded another seventy approximately.

Four contractors were dragged from their vehicle in 2004 beaten to death and then were set alight. They were Scott Helvenston, Jerry Zovko, Wesley Batalona and Michael Teague. This dreadful act was photographed and shown by news broadcasters around the world causing untold pain to the families of these men. Remember them in your prayers today.

Those hard days spent training for the years ahead, and lets be honest there were sometimes during that training when the drill instructor with his shouting and roaring probably made you question why the hell you were there.

Quite a lot of us in the military are there because its tradition, our fathers, brothers and relatives were in the service and probably fought in some campaign that we now read about in the history books. We probably look in some shadowbox and find the military service rings that were once worn by these brave soldiers.

They have been instrumental in the defeat of tyrants both in this century and indeed the last. They fly planes from bases here in the United States and airbases in host countries around the world. I have been lucky enough to have sailed with the US Navy and observed with awe this skilled pilots land on carriers out in the ocean and also delighted of offer a fine selection of military service rings for this department.
